Global Challenges to raise funds for the GVI Charitable Trust
Around the world on our programs GVI volunteers take part in amazing fundraising challenges to further support our programs through the GVI Charitable Trust. The last few weeks have been very busy and it’s not going to stop there!
Recently in Guatemala 11 challengers scaled two mighty volcanoes in two days to support the Phoenix Indigenous education projects, whilst in Nicaragua project manager Aaron and his team of 13 challengers took on an incredible 8 volcanoes over just 4 days! Both challenges brought in amazing funds to support the phoenix projects.
In Mexico challengers recently completed the first Mayan Wilderness challenge biking and kayaking across the Sian Ka’an Biosphere to support our local partners through the GVI Charitable Trust.
Carrying the flag in Peru a group of challengers will scale the mighty Chachani volcano on November 11th to support education projects for Indigenous communities outside of Arequipa.
Hot on their tails in Cape Town, South Africa the Big 5 Challenge will aim to conquer 750kms and 5 impressive landmarks with no motorised transport. Hiking, biking and sailing are all set to play a part!
In addition over the coming weeks we look forward to the annual Guatemala volcano challenge, the Thailand Chiang Mai Marathon and the second Amazon 24 hour survey challenge.
