Achievements

With great thanks to our wonderful supporters and hard working staff, partners and beneficiaries we see amazing achievements every day. On this page we aim to present some stand out achievements from across the board. Please see some examples below of the things we have done that we are quite proud of.
With the support of the GVI Charitable Trust and our partners:
- Over 1000 pre-school children receive educational support each year
- Daily lessons are provided to almost 8000 primary aged students
- Supply further education classes to over 2000 adults and students every month
- 10 schools have been built
- 20 schools are entirely funded and 69 receive support
- Over 1300 school lunches and meals supplied as encouragement for parents to send their children to school
- 855 carbon efficient cooking stoves have been built in Latin America, which among other benefits include reduced deforestation, reduced carbon emissions and also reduced lung disease
- Recycling centres have been constructed and organised in Latin America, Africa and Asia
- Over 100,000 trees planted in our reforestation programs
- Alternative livelihoods for over 130 people in Eastern Africa, including community farms, environmental clean ups and recycling
- Installation of water tanks, creating 500,000 cubic meters of rainwater harvesting capacity around the world.
- Involvement in major natural disasters including assisting the Red Cross in Fiji, and flooding in Thailand.
- Over 600 researchers, professional divers, fisherman etc trained in conservation and survey techniques.
- The largest contributors to the Meso American Barrier Reef conservation program together with our partners, Amigos de Sian Ka’an in Mexico
- National Scholarship Program, offering free placements to host Nationals who wish to work in the fields of conservation and sustainable development within their communities.
